I've read 2 of Max's books so far, and they don't disappoint. They are all quite different. This book in particular is perfect for an afternoon read. Adam buys old houses and remodels them. He finds a book hidden and apparently, it holds magic. The book goes through Adam's daily life, and how the book changes everything. Adam has to go through crayfish, a bunch of women, and people who want his magic book! Adam has to endure it all until everything goes back to normal.

I would 100% recommend this to those who want something funny yet enjoyable with a twist of magic. ( )

I was so happy to come across this book as I was in a slump with my normal genres. This book was so funny and had me laughing uncontrollably at times. The book focuses on Adam, who hasn’t had the best luck with his career, and has decided to flip houses to try and make a quick buck. In his latest house he finds a book of magic which he is quickly fascinated by. He wants to share this exciting news with his friends, Dick and Charlie, but they do not react they way he was hoping. They think he is joking and that the book isn’t really magic. Well that quickly changes when Adam casts a spell that turns Dick into a crayfish and he isn’t able to reverse it! After that a series of hilarious events happen as Adam tries to get his friend back, explain to his wife where Dick is, and trying to tell the police what is happening once they get involved. Then unfortunately the book of magic is stolen and Adam is on a quest to find the book so he can reverse the spell on Dick. But is Adam able to get the book back? Will he ever be able to change his friend back to a person? Time is running out as the police are continuing to close in on Adam and ask where Dick is. This book is so well written, and I love the characters, especially Adam. It is definitely an entertaining read. ( )

This is one of the most brilliant plots I have read and I know in some reviews it said it was slow going but I did not find that at all! Adam bys a house and in it he finds a magical book of spells. When he tries one of the spells and it works he is amazed by this and invite his friends over to try it for the south. They act like it’s a big joke at first but when dick gets turned into a Cray fish and then soon after goes missing Adam doesn’t know what to tell his wife Rachel when she comes looking for him. He would love to reverse the spell however the book has been stolen. Can Adam get the book back and save his friend dick from living life as a lonely Cray fish? Or will he be arrested for Dick‘s murder despite the fact he’s alive and well as a crayfish. This book is awesome I loved it and want more just like it please. I find this authors books to be not only funny but smartly done and he doesn’t go for the low hanging fruit so kudos to him for that. I love this book and highly recommend it it is a total five star! Max Nowaz’s Get Rich or Get Lucky is an incredibly entertaining read that grabbed my attention from the beginning. The book featured an intense plot complete with investigations and reveals that kept me on the edge of my seat. However, the fantastical elements of the story add a touch of enchanting escapism, making it an enjoyable and immersive reading experience.
One of the highlights of the book is its hilarious sense of humor, where from the very beginning, when the main character Adam accidentally turns his friend Dick into a crayfish. Nowaz's writing style is clever and witty, and he weaves humor into the story without detracting from the overall plotline. ( )

Get Rich or Get Lucky by Max Nowaz is a fictional piece of work whose plot and action I don’t know if I should put it in the realm of "what did I just read and how did the author think of this combination" or "it’s such an absurd situation even for a fictional book, but I am still reading it because I like it". I don’t know what I was expecting from this book, but I had a really great time reading it, and I recommend it.

The main character, Adam, on his journey to get rich quickly, gets himself into the house-renovating business, where he finds a magic book that eventually leads to him accidentally transforming his friend into a crayfish. From this point, things start going south: he needs to find an answer and help bring back his friend Dick; he is suspected of Dick’s disappearance; etc. All of this puts Adam on an exciting journey full of mystery, absurdity, funny situations, danger, and more mystery.
