Does grief still grip your heart whenever you think about the loss of a beloved animal? Or, when you anticipate losing an animal that is starting to decline? Losing our animals is one of the most difficult parts of loving them. In Peace in Passing, Maribeth Decker debunks the myths about animals' passing which leave us crippled with grief, unable to find peace. She offers instead a roadmap to support you as you negotiate the treacherous path we walk before, during, and after our animals' transition. This book will help you find peace amidst the enormous loss of your beloved animal companion. This second edition is expanded to include information on ways to ease their physical decline; energetic techniques to connect you with your animal; and how to view the timing of their death through a spiritual lens.… (plus d'informations)

Appreciated receiving this autographed book for Early Reviewers along with a lovely note from the author. My beloved pet is living her final days with us right now. What I especially like about this book is the author's recognition of the purpose that our beloved animals have in our lives and the profound grief we can feel when we lose them. A lasting message of finding peace in the dying process is an important one.

I thought this might be a nice book to gift to those who suffer the loss of a pet. For some, this may work great but for others I think it would be upsetting. Namely because this author describes herself as a "natural intuitive" and "animal communicator." So, this book centers on this perspective and will be quite polarizing, I'd imagine. Choose your audience carefully, but for those who believe in such things, I think it would be a nice little (54 pgs.) book to share.

I received this book and didn't even realize I had requested it. I got a personal note and an autographed copy of the book from the author which I thought was cool! Unfortunately that was the best part of the book...

It could have been a great book but just seemed kind of silly...I really don't have anything to say about the book...well, maybe the fact it was an easy read and the author really does seem to love her pets and other animals... ( )

I was happy to be awarded this ER book this month but unfortunately, it was not at all what I thought I was requesting. The blurb on the page of offerings, together with the picture on the cover, led me to believe that this was a book for children, a guide of sorts to understanding and easing them through the loss of a pet. When the book arrived, I thought my initial impression was true because the book was the size (50 pages) and shape of those small kids' books we used to get from the Scholastic book clubs in school. The cover illustration is a pastel illustration of people and white-coloured pets up in the sky. I was wrong.

This is NOT a book for children. It spoke of reincarnation, quantum physics and subatomic particles, the paranormal, and conveying messages from departed pets to their bereaved owners, with many *case studies* attesting to this. I am sure there are people who will take great comfort in the spirituality of this sort of book but I am not one of them. I wish the blurb on the ER page had been a bit more informative about this as this is not the type of book I would normally request. I also found the cover misleading, in that it truly looks like a child's book, and this is unfortunate.

Still, I thank LT and the author for awarding me this book.

Peace in Passing: Comfort for loving humans during animal transitions was written for the true animal lover. Twelve short chapters outline topics such as the truth about animal transitions, busting common myths surrounding animal deaths and several chapters dedicated to case studies, real life stories, of different aspects of animals transitioning. Ms. Decker describes herself as an animal communicator using her intuitive animal communication skills to address animals' physical, emotional and behavioral issues. The books intention is to bring comfort to those animal parents who are experiencing the death of their beloved pets.
