Scott has retired from go go dancing pretty much and is working on being a PI. He goes to spend a week with Frank in DC only to come home worried that he has no friends. He proceeds to get drunk and hooks up with a young man who turns out to be an ice skating Olympic hopeful. We also run into Colin again too. This one is filled with twists and turns. A 15 year old theft, a missing mother and child and other assorted things all in the course of a few days in Scotty's life. ( ) Improved from the first in the series and generally more enjoyable. Scotty is still to hung up on his own looks and sexiness to appeal to me much - but the other characters are interesting enough to offset this and the story is pretty good. Not much eroticism for a book based on a sometimes stripper and self-identified horn-dog. The elements of history and descriptions of New Orleans really communicates the authors love of the city which is nice. Again with the inconsistencies (having one person ask why another hasn't answered an e-mail, when that e-mail was answered 2 chapters ago) and the repetitions (telling the same information - pretty much verbatim - over and over). The writing is just horrible. And, it's really too bad, because the mystery is entertaining, the stakes are high enough, and it's a fun read. If nothing else than to read about New Orleans. Oh well. But why the font size varies is a mystery all unto itself. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Scott Bradley is nobody's idea of a saint, but when you live in New Orleans it's a bit hard to be monogamous. Unfortunately, Scott's straight-arrow, FBI agent, sort-of-boyfriend Frank has other ideas - which leads Scott to wake up in a hotel room with cutie Bryce Bell, the hottest young figure skater in the country. But when Scott finds a dead body in Bryce's hotel room, he is thrust into a world of lost ancient artifacts, thieves and prophecies. As Scott races to unvravel the mystery, he soon feels himself chilled by a foreboding unlike anything he has felt before. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
