Obviously written for the 18-25 year old crowd and/or those into cozy mysteries, this a fun read if you can disconnect your reading brain from your intellect. I was successful and enjoyed it. It was a recommendation from a friend who received it as a paperback from it's original owner. She gets lots of her books that way, and has made other recommendations, usually of a higher quality than this. I won't be checking out the rest of the series though. I'm no longer a teenager. ( )

Tandy and her family are again in trouble. Her brother, Matthew, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend. Dangerous creatures like snakes and deadly spiders have invaded the Dakota apartment building where they live, and several young girls from private schools like Tandy's have been shot and killed. Suddenly Tandy finds herself trying to solve three cases at once, but she is distracted because she has remembered something that Fable Haven tried to take away from her: memories of the boy she loves.
This was another good story by Patterson and Paetro. The character of Tandy is such an interesting and unique character as are her brothers and their friends. In this story; however, Tandy is almost overshadowed by the three mysteries she is trying to solve. The book would have been better if more time was spent on the development of one of the three cases rather than suddenly solving all three near the end of the book. I'm still looking forward to reading the third book in the series, Confessions, The Paris Mysteries. ( )

A great continuation of the first book that paves the way for more excellent adventures ( )

This is a book that I just couldn't help but read and finish...The further along I got into the book, the better it got for me...

Once I got 300 pages in, it seemed like it just zoomed by and whenever I had to stop reading or set it down for a little while/for the night, it was almost an anxiousness that came that was ready to get back to the book.

This story was just as great, maybe even a little better than Confessions of a Murder Suspect. I didn't even think that was possible.

And when Jacob was introduced to the book, I fell in love with him. He was tough, but loving. He made sure those kids knew he cared about them and he only wanted the best for all of them.

By the end of this book, I was even more in love with all of the characters. There was one person who was talked about in both books that was, as first, put off as being mean and uncaring but once her story started to come out, you could begin to see that she wasn't as uncaring as others tried to make her out to be. Maybe it was just that she didn't like some situations in one of her children's lives. I can't really go into it further without giving away more of the story and the part she played in it.

The ending seems to be and is hopefully a set up for a third installment in these books. And knowing James Patterson, it just might be. As of this review, I haven't checked to see if there will be. But I would love to see what happens with Tandy, her brothers, Jacob and James.
