Upon exiting the master bath, the only one she could find available, Hayley is startled to see Oliver Wilkinson standing at the door, blocking her exit."You scared the hell out of me! How long have you been standing there?"Barely coherent, incredibly drunk, stoned, or high, Wilkinson replies: "Hey, baby. Want to party?"The assault that night has tormented Hayley for twenty years. Now, Oliver Wilkinson is the President's nominee for a vacant seat on the Supreme Court, the position he has coveted his entire career. Hayley Larson can't let that happen."Oliver Wilkinson on the Supreme Court? That is a bridge too far! He's a criminal and should be in prison! Supreme Betrayal is a thrilling legal thriller from an author I have only just discovered. Mark Bello has created protagonist Zachary Blake, the central figure in this, and I guess his other books too. As an attorney himself Bello has an intricate knowledge of the legal system, and that filters through in the book as the plot unfolds in a clever and entertaining way that kept me hooked from very early on. I won’t give away any spoilers but this did keep me guessing just how things would work out right until the end, and unlike many other thrillers these days I didn’t guess the final conclusion ahead of time. I’ll be checking out more of Bello’s work very soon. ( )

Over the last couple of years Bello has become one of my newest favorite authors, and I’ve enjoyed a number of his Betrayal series books. Supreme Betrayal is the latest one I’ve read and I have to say I think it’s one of his best. Zachary Blake is a fantastic protagonist and provides a great central point for a compelling mystery to unfold.

I found the plot of Supreme Betrayal to be as exciting as Bello’s earlier books, but this one seemed to move at an even faster pace providing excitement in every chapter. A number of twists along the way kept me guessing and second guessing, and I was hooked right up until the final reveal.

A great addition to the shelf of legal thriller fans. ( )

This is my first book by Mark M. Bello, Supreme Betrayal book #6. I started with this one because it was recommended to me.

I felt that this was a good read and a stand alone book although after the prologue it started out slow. The prologue instantly grabbed my attention, Hayley is 16 at the Wilkinson brothers party in West Bloomfield. Where older brother Oliver Wilkinson and friend Shane Marbury attempt to rape Hayley. Although she was able to escape, she was still a victim of sexual assault. She took that experience and become an advocate for other women who suffered from sexual assaults.

22 years later Oliver Wilkinson is about to be appointed a seat on the Supreme Court, Hayley does everything to expose Oliver and hopefully prevent him from becoming the next Supreme Court judge. Her husband gets into contact with his friend and lawyer Zachary Blake who help Hayley navigate this experience and expose Oliver of his past crimes. If he has done this to Hayley, Zack is sure it wasn't a "one and done".

The first half of the book is greatly detailed on politics but the action picks up when a failed hit goes out on Shane Marbury. Ultimately this a nicely balanced book with police/FBI investigation, politics, and murder. The end was a pleasant surprise with an opening for possibilities of a book #7. This book is dedicated to the ME TOO MOVEMENT, a great fictitious book but relatable for those to identify with the ME TOO MOVEMENT. As Mark M. Bello says, "Don't be afraid to make your voice heard" ( )

I haven't read many books as good as this one in a long time. Author Mark M Bello smashes the legal thriller genre out of the park once again. Supreme Betrayal is book 6 of a captivating legal thriller series with great characters and a complex story line that hooked me from the start. I’ve followed this series since the first episode, Betrayal of Faith, and they’ve kept me turning pages of each book since. Again the writing was very accomplished in Supreme Betrayal, and I still love Zachary Blake as much as I always have. Supreme Betrayal is perhaps the best addition to the series yet, with compelling dialogue and a plot line that hooks from early on and provides interesting and unexpected twists along the way.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys the legal / suspense / thriller genres. ( )

Supreme Betrayal (A Zachary Blake Legal Thriller Book 6) by Mark M. Bello
What I like about this book are the way the facts are laid out in the storyline of what happened.
A brutal attack when she was only 16 Hayley attended a party with her friends. She never forgets but continues on with her life.
Gets educated and becomes a leading doctor in sex abuse of women and marries her husband and has children.
Years later the culprit is up for nomination for Supreme Court and she writes to a few key people to get the case that was washed away brought to the public.
She knows it will be a tough battle. Love how the investigators go after not only the policemen that were involved but others that attended the party. They go the distance to provide the full facts of the original case.
Oliver is the man in question and he partied when he was in college. He and Jared's parents left them alone a lot as they traveled the world. They always got what they wanted, money was no problem.
Some people can be paid off....as they bring the case forward some testifying are being killed and you wonder who will remain to testify at all.
Like that it also is similar to update events of today, the last man appointed in the real world and how he was put through hearings for days.
Love action and details that are so descriptive of the events and scenes. Hope I find more of this author's works to read. Title leads you to wonder what's inside...
Received this book from the publisher and this is my honest opinion. ( )
