Although I felt this book was rather too long, and hence had some dragging sections, the ending(s) more than made up for it: satisfying, if heartbreaking and somewhat shocking. Loved the themes at play in this series, loved the characters (even the ones caught up in YA-heavy over-emoting at times). Looking forward to book #3! ( ) So this book was even better than the first book. You really got to learn way more about the characters and the struggles that were going on with the Asters vs the Icarii. You also learn more about the Synthetics and how they tie in to everything that has been going on. Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good space opera with characters that really keep you engaged and interested. Loved it!
"Replete with espionage, high-speed chases, and fight scenes, Lewis’s sophomore effort demonstrates a knack for building tension, while also adding layers of worldbuilding complexity to deliver some genuine surprises." Appartient à la série

With danger around every corner Lito, his partner Ofiera, and the newly freed operative must flee in order to keep dangerous secrets out of enemy hands. Back on Mercury, Lito's sister Lucinia must carry on after her brother's disappearance and accusation of treason by Icarii authorities.
