This volume really leverages the supporting cast with some connections and developments occurring in their relationships with themselves and with the main characters. Hina actually uses her powers effectively in a couple chapters to support Nitta. And some new villains are introduced toward the end to perhaps give a little more form to the overarching story.

Part of the appeal of this series for me personally is the recurring theme of fathers and daughter, not just with the main character and her adoptive yakuza father, but in all the father figures who dote over the young telekinetic women in a proud and protective manner. And the series hits a nice balance, making fun of it as much as it exploits it for drama. ( )
