Overall a good book, but for me it goes into too much length and repetition of the advanced coaching skills of questioning and listening. I found it cumbersome and prefer to keep things more tight and simple. The coach's toolkit of forms, checklists, and worksheets however, is a must have for every new coach. That alone is reason to buy the book. ( ) This is a general book on coaching. It doesn't limit itself to athletic coaching, career coaching, or any specific type of coaching, but offers a wide range of very widely applicable tips and advice for coaches. The first section, "Coaching Fundamentals" gives advice on the coaching model set up by the authors and then how to develop a healthy, productive relationship with your clients. The second section is meant to help the coach hone thier necessary skills, such as listening, intuition, curiosity, and self management. The third section goes more into the relationship a coach develops with thier client, and discusses client fulfillment, balance, process, and the integration, application, and vision of all the material in the book. The book closes with a coaches tool kit that includes appendixes that tailor to each type of coaching a little more in dpeth. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
