UPDATE, Feb. 17, 2022: I had an unpleasant surprise today as I discovered that Volume 9 has no release scheduled as Gunnerkrigg Court was dropped by its publisher as of November 2021. The website continues to be updated, but a new plan is being pursued for print editions. Aaaaack! I ordered one of the print books from the website today to show some support.

ORIGINAL REVIEW, Feb. 16, 2022:
One of the things I love about this series is that it surprises me. Even when I think I know the destination, the route is full of turns I don't see coming. Part of this is because I get so lost in the story and characters that I don't have a chance to engage the part of my brain that over-analyzes and criticizes. I'm just going along with my head out the window and my tongue flapping in the breeze, happy to be invited for the ride.

I'm out of Gunnerkrigg books now, but this is one of the rare webcomics I'm actually going to seek out on the internet instead of waiting for the next collection. It's all available for free at https://www.gunnerkrigg.com/archives/ if you are so inclined to join me. ( )
