The best thing about anthologies is discovering a slew of new authors. There are always stories that will tickle just about every delightful sub-trope one could imagine. Some were exceptional and others were not my cup of tea. Either way, this book was well worth the minimal investment because there was a lot of story in this particular book. Some of the stories I wanted more of (I see you Adelaide Forest) and others were a different side to authors that I really liked (I see you Shain Rose).
This anthology is the perfect book when you only have a little time to read or just need something that isn't heavy. One of the better anthologies that I've read. ( )
This is my review of Of Roses and Thorns by Renee Harless, which was part of this amazing anthology!
"I knew that I needed to keep my distance from him. Eric was a temptation that my heart couldn't handle."
What a great, quick and steamy read!!
So Willow has a one-night stand with Eric and then sneaks out without saying goodbye. Flash forward a year and he's front and center, offering her a life-altering opportunity. Is working for him a smart thing to do? Well, her head may tell her one thing, the rest of her body is screaming something different!
I loved how he was so patient, but at the same time just utterly irresistible!!
What a great addition to this anthology! Check out Renee's other books if you have the chance!! ( )
