Foxworthy's take on some words in the American lexicon some with unusual meanings. New meanings for the words mother, pumpkin, chapter and direction to name a few. Full of weird mispronunciations and wrongs ways to say common words. I'll admit if it weren't for the illustrations and him using them in a sentence I never would have understood part of them. ( )

This is just about the stupidest thing I've ever read. Jeff Foxworthy's jokes used to be pretty funny, but this 'dictionary' is just stupid. The definitions aren't funny in the least and are *all* the same format. He takes a word and splits it up in the definition, the definition being what the word would be if it were multiple words. Examples: inherit: "I don't know about outside, but inherit stinks". Oblong: "I need to get back down south. This is not where oblong". Every single definition is like that and it becomes tedious and boring. ( )

I love this man's quick wit and intelligence...not to mention his ability to poke fun of his "cultural" upbringing & lifestyle.

"al.lowed....Did you just hear allowed noise?"

"as.i.nine...Man, I would give her face a two and her asinine"

I never thought I'd say this, but I guess Jeff has just gotten boring over the years. Either that, or it just isn't as good when you can't here his tones and inflections. ( )
