This was a bit too gruesome for me, although it was easy enough to skip the worst parts I didn't really like being in the head of a serial killer. I did like the map at the beginning and the novel gave me a feel for New York and the politics between Police, FBI and the Mayor's office. Short chapters that broke up the action but well put together. (

#FirstLine - I checked the street in both directions in front of an upscale coffee house called Flat Bread and Butter in Amsterdam Avenue near 140th Street.

This is another fantastic installation in the Micheal Bennett series. This story was a quick, action packed read. I was engrossed in the story and did not want it to end! I am so grateful that this is a extensive series and we know we will get more of this story!!! (

This was a fun quick read. But hey, its James Patterson and co-author James O. Born’s character Michael Bennet. I wouldn't expect anything less from those two. The gist of the story is Michael is a NYC detective who is tasked with solving the killings of young ladies in NYC, just what that jacket tells you. Like I said, it is a fun, quick read...nothing over the top, nothing specular, just entertaining. Entertaining in the sense of watching how the story plays out, and gosh darn it Michael Bennet is so gosh darn loveable. Even though it isn't one of the great American “must reads”, it is fast paced and if you need a break from more intense and emotional reads, this is the book for you. I will note the ending felt rushed. (

I love this series. Once again, Michael Bennett comes to the rescue. A serial killer is striking NYC, with a horrible calling card. Before the city becomes completely terrorized, Michael will have to figure it out. Upon investigating, other large cities have had similar crimes. As he burns the midnight oil, he still tries to find family time with his 10 kids, and get ready for his upcoming wedding. Fast paced and a good read. (
