Fantasy. Folklore. Historical Fiction. Young Adult Fiction. HTML:Isda does not exist. At least not beyond the opulent walls of the opera house.
Cast into a well at birth for being one of the magical few who can manipulate memories when people sing, she was saved by Cyril, the opera house's owner. Since that day, he has given her sanctuary from the murderous world outside. All he asks in return is that she use her power to keep ticket sales highâ??and that she stay out of sight. For if anyone discovers she survived, Isda and Cyril would pay with their lives.
But Isda breaks Cyril's cardinal rule when she meets Emeric Rodin, a charming boy who throws her quiet, solitary life out of balance. His voice is unlike any she's ever heard, but the real shock comes when she finds in his memories hints of a way to finally break free of her gilded prison.

A fun combination of Phantom of the Opera, Beauty & the Beast, Twilight & Romeo & Juliet with a good dash of teenage angst thrown in. Narrator Caitlin Kelly does an amazing job, had me hooked after just a few minutes. ( )

This was a great, Phantom of the Opera retelling, with magical creatures woven into the story that can steal or manipulate memories. I love that memory elixir can be used as currency and that people in dire straits are taken advantage of by rich people. I love Isda at the end of the book, she has found her voice and is willing to do what is needed to survive. Overall, a great novel and I highly recommend. ( )

I got a ARC of Sing Me Forgotten by Jessica S. Olsen through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Sing Me Forgotten by Jessica S. Olsen is, a Phantom of The Opera retelling that tells the story of Isda has she falls in love and she searches for answers.

I would give Sing Me Forgotten by Jessica S. Olsen a 3 star review because, the concept is, riveting but things like the world where we can imagine it in our head while reading needed a little work, there were some pieces that I could understand but didn't make since in the book, the characters were okay but I didn't root for them, and the ending was good but it didn't connect with the rest of the book.
