Every now and then it is fun to read Chick Lit/ Hallmark type feel good books.
The Beach House was a “Nice” book.
There are however 9 more books in the series. Each subsequent book seems to be shorter than The Beach house.
I only made it through the fifth book. All were nice but enough was enough. ( )

Beach House is the beginning of a romantic series by Rachel Hanna. This book centers on Julie who is in her early 40s and has been married for over 20 years and has two grown daughters. She finds out that her husband has been unfaithful and is left to figure out what comes next for her. she ends up buying a beach house off the Carolina coast sight unseen. She finds out why it was such a good deal when she gets there and almost falls through the floor of the porch. Enter some interesting characters that live on the quiet island as well as Julie's estranged sister. The books ends with all characters happy for the time being, but there are definite signs of more to come in future books. The romance is very tame and suitable for young adults as well as adult readers. I enjoyed the book and will consider continuing on with the series at some point. ( )

The Beach House by Rachel Hanna starts the South Carolina Sunsets series! This book had me hooked from the first chapter. After 21 years of marriage, Julie is told by her cheating husband that he's in love with another woman. She is knocked for a loop and after he sells their home, she decides to escape and buy a beach cottage in Seabreeze, South Carolina. Life happens and Julie has many obstacles to overcome with her husband's circumstances and otherwise.
Rachel Hanna writes a fast paced story of love, betrayal, new beginnings, and sister's interaction which has me engrossed to find out what happens next and I sure will be getting the next book in the series! ( )
