****SPOILER ALERT****

We pick up right where the last book left us...the guys had to knock out Mako and Anya to get them on the ship....Nick barely allowed this and ONLY because Isa explained these guys were indeed telling the truth. Of course the fact that the one guy looked spookily like her may have helped....not to mention the other jerkwad looked one heckuva lot like Ann. What in the blazes was going on? Nick would soon find out, and be shaken to the core. He's terrified of losing the only mother figure he's ever known in Isa....thankfully she quickly let's him.know that no matter what she will always remain in his life. Now he just had to worry about his Butterfly and Ann. When Mako awakens all heck would break loose as he was pretty certain she still had no memories.

Nick was correct....upon waking Mako finds food and .....oh yummy, yummy nectar of the Starlight Gods...MILK!!!! Nope, nope, nope....will not eat or drink. Its a test....just a trick by my captors. Mako is distraught and confused...thankfully with the help.of Nick he gets her to accept food and drink. He also explains he now trusts these guys...yet he looks haunted....I know he knows something....bomb drop....Nick tells her there's a lot he doesn't want her to recall as the guys let him read her file. She's been through hell and back and should NOT have to relive this all over again.

While back at the place she first met the guys Mako does a few seriously deja vu
moments that give her knights a glimpse of hope. Like when she sees the multi colored stools and word for word does EXACTLY what she did the first time around 😀. At some point Jeffrey magically appears and stays long enough to remove the memory block on Mako.....it's overwhelming....everything rushes through her mind at once. Oh the PAIN, the love....she lost the ability to walk??? Everything is true....Mako has endured so darned much....when will these trials stop already?? Not to mention every time she's tested it also ends up testing her beloved knights. She's just relieved to FINALLY have all six together as one. But how long can that last??? Their bonds will once again be tested when danger finds them once more....will they band together as one? Have they truly learned from past lessons? They will have to dig deep when the enemy strikes at the heart of them again....one of them is taken, leaving the others temporarily defenseless....how did this happen?? WHO is behind this, for at this stage they know for once its likely NOT Jeffrey. With each second that passes, their desperation mounts as they know their brother/love is once more in the hell of the facility.....Marcus may be extremely strong, but even he will break in the one place he NEVER wanted to see again. Can Make, Anya, Isa and the guys make it in time???? Will they learn who all the chess players in this long game are? After all its a safe bet that it was no accident Isa, Anya and Mako ended up together on Winterlya considering who they are.....someone has been plotting whatever this sick and twisted game is for a VERY long time..and Mako and her loved ones are SICK of being forced to play. Times up!! Olly olly oxen free....come out, come out wherever you are!! For they swear on the Starlight Gods....NONE of them will rest until they reclaim their beloved Marcus and find who is behind all this. When that day comes, they'd best be prepared...for nobody wants Mako "Bloody Butterfly" , her Knights, and her friends after them when they're this livid. Oh revenge is sweet. I cant wait to see what happens next.....be warned it does end on a cliffhanger.....I for one am hoping we soon learn what's up with Mako's big brother Xavier and Anya....seems there's definitely a story there that even Ryder might not know of. I really love these awesome, independent, strong, capable, kick butt and FEARLESS women ....even if.one is addicted to unicorns and snorting glitter LOL. ( )
