( ) This history of computers is intended for children, but I must admit I found it quite engaging and educational. I was a little disappointed that the detailed chronology of computer development and advancements seemed to end when Paul Allen left Microsoft and Steve Wozniak left Apple in the 1980s. The last forty years felt brushed aside with some generalizations about self-driving cars and a jump to artificial intelligence. Also, the author's note at the end annoyed me with this factually inaccurate statement: "Neil Armstrong landed on the moon fifty years ago, and we haven't been back since." Ummm . . . Apollos 12, 14, 15, 16, 17? Big fail by the author and/or his editor, especially considering the first book in this series is about the moon race. I did not expect to close the back cover wondering what else they got wrong or fudged. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
