Note: I received a digital review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. ( ) Sanchez Vegara's David Attenborough explores the life of a most beloved naturalist. From a young age, Attenborough was fascinated by nature. He loved collecting fossils and other things of interest. When a friend sent him a wee dried seahorse, that's the moment he decided to become a naturalist. Since then, Attenborough has traveled the world, exploring nature and sharing his love of animals with the world. At the end is a section with more detailed information on Attenborough's life. Inspirational and educational both, this entire series is great, and full of delightful art to engage younger audiences! ***Many thanks to the Netgalley & Quarto Publishing for providing an egalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. Another great entry into the Little People, Big Dreams series. The brief sketch of Attenborough's life and how his curiosity about animals and sense of adventure made him one of the most influential and beloved TV presenters and environmentalists in the world today is beautifully done. This short biography is brief enough for kids to get the highlights and still sends the message that curiosity and hard work will get you where you want to go, and even o places you'd never heard of before. The illustrations, by Minho Noh are delightful; I especially enjoyed the double page spread of all the animals that have been named after Attenborough - including a tiny lion and a dinosaur! Fabulous fun. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

As a young boy, David Attenborough became an avid collector of fossils and plants. His great love for living things led him into science, and his passion for people led him to broadcasting television. Determined to make the wonder of the natural world accessible to everyone, David changed the way we thing about our planet. This inspiring story features a facts and photos section at the back.
