This story is about a boy named Manny and another boy named Donald. The sport that they were recently playing was soccer, but they decided to try something new like football. The team they played for was called Hudson City. The first game they played in was against South Bergen, and South Bergen won 14-7. The coach got a little upset, and said that there was going to be people getting kicked off the kick-off squad. A week later Manny finds out he is one of those people who is getting kicked off the kick-off squad. The second game was against the hornets. Hudson City won the game thanks to Manny and Donald. The coach gave Manny a second chance and he was on the kick–off squad again, so they both decided to stay with Football.
My favorite part of this book is when Manny got to come back on the kick-off squad. My least favorite part of this book is when they lost their first game.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes sports. The reader should be a young teenager because it is easy to read and easy to understand.
I rate this book a 3 out of 5 because it was an o.k. book, and I’ve read better. I wish there would have been more conflict between the two friends.
