From the New York Times bestselling author of Part of Your World comes a romantic comedy full of "fierce humor and fiercer heart" about how one adorable puppy brings together two perfect strangers(Casey McQuiston, NYT bestselling author of Red, White & Royal Blue). Artist Sloan Monroe just can't seem to get her life on track. But one trouble-making pup who randomly jumps into her car with a "take me home" look in his eyes is about to change everything. With Tucker by her side, Sloan finally starts to feel more like herself. Then, after weeks of unanswered texts, Tucker's owner reaches out. He's a musician on tour in Australia. And bottom line: He wants Tucker back. Well, Sloan's not about to give up her dog without a fight. But what if this Jason guy really loves Tucker? As their flirty texts turn into long calls, Sloan can't deny a connection. Jason is hot and nice and funny. There's no telling what could happen when they meet in person. The question is: With his music career on the rise, how long will Jason really stick around? And is it possible for Sloan to survive another heartbreak?

3.5 stars but I rounded it down to 3 for the reasons I’ll highlight below.
This book was so sweet and extremely fast paced. It would ideally make for a good rom-com movie. That my friends is why I rounded down my rating. Some parts of this book were wildly unrealistic and sometimes a little unnecessary. They are simple things that you can choose to overlook and still have something interesting to read. One of the things I loved was the banter and chemistry between the 2 main characters. It was so funny, seamless and made you want to read more and more of it. The ending was a bit rushed, and I was surprised when the epilogue started. ( I was listening to it) it felt like we missed a sort of integral part of the story. This was still a treat to listen to and I didn’t want to put it down most of the time. Would still recommend especially if you don’t mind some overdramatized scenes.
Also I should also add the fact that there was a song at the beginning of every chapter and that was a fun touch! ( )
Over the top? Sure.....but who can resist falling madly in love with a super nice, tall, handsome, Mr Fix-It, indie rocker with an adorable dog? Certainly not me.
Looking forward to her other novel and listening to the actual playlist. ( )
I really thought this book was cute!! I really loved the dog element and also loved both main character pov in this read! I also really enoyed all the side charcters This book had a nice balance of steam and plot and just loved all the self disvoery elements that character was dealing with!!! I loved seeing minor character from her next book!! Very fun read!! ( )
