Many scholars have examined the works of Shakespeare & conclude that he was not the author of the works attributed to him, that they were the work of another, even the works of several others. Dr. Rendall extends this thesis by examining the surviving examples of manuscripts attributed to Shakespeare & of those known to have been written by others. Basing his conclusions upon a careful examination of the manuscripts, the author builds a strong case for attributing much of Shakespeare's writings to Lord Edward de Vere, Seventeenth Earl of Oxford. This small volume makes a valuable contribution to the body of Shakespearean scholarship & belongs in every literature collection. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
