Simple text. Good night time book as it takes you through all the animals closing their eyes and lastly at the end the child closes their eyes. Children will like this because it is an easy read and fun bedtime story. ( )

(easy, poetry) Again, another wonderful bedtime book by Margaret Wise Brown! Through her poetic narrative, we follow a variety of family groups and pairs as they prepare to drift off for a night's sleep. Donkeys, sheep, pigs ,cats or humans, we all have the same yet different nightime/bedtime rituals that we do with the ones we love. A common theme is verbalized through text that I am becoming more and more aware of the more children's books I read: that we are all connected in some way, similar yet different, in the most simple of ways and yet the most complex. Everything is cyclical and related in nature. ( )

For some reason, I really did not like this book. It was not very interesting to me! ( )

This book is a great bed time story. The author tells a story of a little donkey who's mother is trying to help him go to sleep.
