We are getting to know more of the neighboring princesses and their potential superhero alter-egos. Clearly, more fun is in our future! We absolutely love The Princess in Black series both as a read-aloud for preschoolers just transitioning into listening to chapter books and as a read-alone for emerging readers. We were so excited to receive this one. The three young readers in our household enjoyed it, but didn't find that it was quite as compelling as the earlier books in the series. Thanks to the publisher and LibraryThing for our early reviewer copy in exchange for an honest review. I was very happy to be able to obtain this edition for her through the ER program. She loved it, of course, and was very happy to see all the new princess heroes in this one. This is a delightful series for young kids!Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. A wonderfully fun and entertaining story about a group of princesses who are also superheroes who end up working together to solve the problem of super duper stinky smell. The story starts with a princess superheroes trying to solve the problem alone she finds that when she does that the problem only is passed onto someone and someplace else. This book demonstrates that working together is usually a better option than trying to solve problems alone. It accomplishes that in a way that young readers won't even really realize the message behind the story. I had not read any of the other books in this series but look forward to doing so and adding even more of them to my library for my students to enjoy. The illustrations are wonderful with warm and bright colors but not overwhelming at all. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This whimsical, very inclusive book follows a group of princesses/superheroes as they battle the stinkiest monster they have ever encountered. The story is fun and quirky. Younger readers will definitely find a character they can identify with and the text is simple but has enough whimsy and none-sense words/names to make it entertaining. The artwork is quite playful and the color palate is very soft and pleasing. The book could probably benefit from even more if pages allowed for it. I had not read the other books in the series so did not have much background knowledge about the characters or their alter-egos but it was not necessary to follow along. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: Something smells like trouble! Can five princess heroes and one Goat Avenger pool their talents to vanquish a monstrous stink? The Princess in Black is in a very stinky situation. A foul cloud is plaguing the goat pasture, and it smells worse than a pile of dirty diapers or a trash can on a hot summer day. But every time the Princess in Black and her friend the Goat Avenger manage to get rid of the odor, they accidentally blow it to another kingdom! Other masked heroes and their trusty companions show up to help, but how do you battle a stench when your ninja moves fail? Fans with a nose for slapstick will be tickled to see the six stalwart friends join their wits to take on an impossibly beastly stink. .Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
