fun story!! ( )

Mini Rabbit and his mom are making a cake when they run out of berries. Mini Rabbit is determined to get more berries so that the cake can be finished, and is undeterred as he treks through snow, over water, and into a cave in order to find berries. But with all that traveling, has Mini Rabbit lost his way?

The title of this book drew me in, even though it turns out to not really be a focus of the book. The story is humorous and entertaining, especially with the omnipotent narrator questioning Mini Rabbit's choices. I could see this making a nice readaloud for a parent, teacher, or librarian.

The illustrations are interesting; not really a style I would prefer (a little on the one-dimensional, cartoon-ish side, I guess) but it works okay with this story. ( )
