There are chapters on these events: Civil War in China (1945-9), Indo-China (1945-54), Greece (1946-1949), The Partition of India (1947-49), the Struggle for Palestine (1948- ), Malaya (1948-1960), Korea (1950-1953), Quemoy-Matsu (1954-58), Algeria (1954-1962), Hungary (1956), Suez-Sinai (1956), Yemen (1962- ), Cyprus (1963- ), Cuba (1958-1959), Columbia (1948- ), Venezuela (1961-1963), Dominican Republic (1965), Congo (1960-1965), Angola (1961), India--the Border Conflict (1962-5), Indonesia Runs Amok (1965-1966), Philippines: The Hukbalahap (1966- ), Laos: The Beleaguered Neutral (1954- ), Vietnam: The Continuing War (1959- ), and Arabs v. Israel: the 3rd Round (1967- ). Reading these chapters constituted a good review of the past 23 years militarily.
