This is a good example of science fiction. The main characters in the book are aliens and the setting is in space. It includes strange elements such as laser beams, crazy birds, astronauts, rocket ships, and lassoing stars. The book is very easy to understand though and the characters are easy to relate to even for being aliens.

The setting in this book is a good example of a backdrop. While it does occur in space, there is still no particular time or location in space. It does not make a difference to the story either.

This book for young children is a parody of the song “Hush, little baby”, in which a Papa alien tells his child all the things he will get for them, from a shooting star to a real live astronaut! A fun and colorful book from the illustrator of Chugga-Chugga Choo Choo. A fun twist on an old favorite song. The pictures are bright and engaging. The song is fun. They don't depict everything accuratly (bottles of milk for the milky way) but the charm makes up for it. ( )
