In this first book of the Jessica Shaw series, the protagonist uniquely investigates her own disappearance when she was three years old. Jessica is now 25 and a private investigator who finds herself in Los Angeles, where her mother’s murder remains unsolved. As she works her way through her mother’s unsavory past, she discovers the truth about her parents and makes peace with her past. Peppered with lively and flawed characters, this was a tightly plotted and riveting tale of murder, blackmail, and a whole lot of alcoholic beverages. Cheers! Every year multitudes of writers launch thrillers. A few rise to the top, and one of these is Thin Air and a new female detective, Jessica Shaw. When the story begins, Jessica opens an email asking her to find a child kidnapped twenty-five years before. Jessica recognizes her three-year-old self in the attached photo. Curiosity will keep the reader turning pages. Gray’s novel ties together two murders, twenty years apart, and point-of-view chapters for Jessica, Amy Ong, Jason Pryce, Eleanor Lavelle. The tie that holds them together is closely guarded until the conclusion. An enjoyable read. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

I read for fun, and don't usually write detailed reviews. Especially since I read on my kindle and typing much of a review on this keyboard is not how I want to spend my time. ( )
