It's decent and definitively worth a read, especially as a freebie on Kindle.
But I exclusively listen to audiobooks and it's 3€ for 2 hours (via wispersync) which is even more expensive than a normal full-price audiobook with an average length of 8 hours.
I am too much of a cheapskate to continue this series at this price point.
It's ok but for sure not good enough to justify such a price.
Don't get baited into paying with blatant cliffhangers every 2 hours like that.
This is like pay-to-play microtransactions in a game which are considered the lowest of the low of exploitative business practices. I think a series like this should be judged by the same standard. ( )

This story is a retelling of the classic Cinderella. The main character Elle's story follows that of the original in a very similar fashion, but set in a world including magical beings like vampires and fae. The story was very nostalgic, in the sense of preserving the fairytale's essence. My only complaint with the book would be that, the story line didn't feel complete. I do acknowledge the fact that it is a part of a series, but I personally would have enjoyed a closure to a subplot in the entire story. It felt more like half a book rather than a complete one. ( )

THis book turned out better than I thought it would. It was a free audiobook download on iBooks. It started off a little but like the old Hilary Duff Cinderella Story and has similarities to Ella Enchanted as well. But it has a unique world and makes you want to keep listening. This Cinderella story is set in a fae world with shifters and vampires. And for some reason the vamps want Ella. The only down side was how abruptly it ending. Lots more stories to tell at only 3 hours. So luckily I could go and get book 2 quickly.
