I liked this scary tall tale about a loup garou, a werewolf, and the tricky, smart little girl. Bonus, Cajun French! ( ) Feliciana's on a bad behavior streak in this book. She's warned time and time again that if she doesn't behave, the Loup Garou will snatch her away. She thinks nothing of it until bedtime, when howls and growls are heard outside of her window. Feliciana follows the noise, thinking it's her brother, but it turns out to be none other than the Loup Garou himself. Turns out, he isn't as bad as everyone thinks. Feliciana's very brave, marching into the swamp to go beat up her brother. She's also very kind since she gives the Loup Garou a chance instead of running away. The book has a glossary and pronunciations for younger readers. Written with passion, the story keeps the anticipation going the entire time. The art really captures how creepy and beautiful the swamp can look at night. It's not scary, which is good for younger readers, and it goes to show that it's what's on the inside that counts. Feliciana was a young Cajun girl who just can't help but to be bad. With her brothers always taunting her it is never that easy. They would tell her Loup Garou would get her if she would keep acting this way. Loup Garou was a huge man-monster who ate bad children. One day, they kept picking on her about her hair so she decided to cut it off. Her mother told her that's she couldn't go to the dance that night because of her behavior. Her mother told her brother the same thing. Her brother was very angry and told her if Loup Garou would come he would point him to the direction of her bed. Feliciana heard a howl from her bed and decided to see what it was. She went into the dark swamp and found the Loup Garou. He told her he would eat her and her brother because of how they have beeen acting. She didn't take kindly to the threat of her brother. Loup Garou realized that they weren't very much different. They both had bad reputations. Also, Loup Garou didn't eat children because it gave him heartburn. They both walked back to the house and gave one last howl. She went to her brothers bed and apologized for what she did. The style the author wrote this story in was a little hard to understand because it was in Cajun but it still added culture and richness to the book. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
