Surprisingly good, this. Chris Wraight is improving as a writer and this is well paced and has good characterisation. The Death Guard have been avoided in the past, I think because it seems challenging to write semi-human monsters in a way that is both believable and in-universe-realistic. What do Plague Marines want? How can we create drama here? This works well, I really enjoyed Vorx and the Solace, they felt real. Good stuff! ( )
