The story from book 1 continues. Alexis is coming more and more into her powers. She's determined to do her job for Kieran and then get as far away from him as possible. But their hearts get in the way. And despite it probably being for the best to be apart, the two do the opposite. The job becomes more complicated when more souls are on the line. The kids are learning where they fit into their new world as well. I'm enjoying the story and the team/family being built here. And I can't wait to see what happens next once Kieran's father becomes more aware of what Kieran and Alexis are up to. ( )

I was ssssoooo waiting for this sequel from the moment I finished “Sin and Chocolate,” wanting to know what would happen next with Lexie and Kieran. Things are looking up for Lexie thanks to her new job with Kieran. There is finally enough food in the house. Her wards Mordecai and Daisy are acting like typical spoiled teenagers now that they can (these two totally steal the show whenever they appear on page.) And Author KF Breene brings her fun quirky voice to every scene, making this paranormal romance a treat to read.

Lexie is learning to control the necromancer powers she’s now aware she has, and with the help of new friend Bria, is on the hunt for Kieran’s Selkie mother, who is imprisoned by his demigod father. But as they comb the city looking for clues, can they keep from getting discovered? The heat level definitely turned up in this one, and there were some steamy scenes between Kieran and Lexie. I devoured this one. Eagerly awaiting the next book!

After reading book 1, I immediately delved into book 2. I couldn't put it down.

While the first focused on the resistance to Kieran's charms and interest in Alexis' magic, Sin & Magic throws in a good deal of action to propel you through the plot. We met new characters, learned more about familiar faces, and got thrust further into the mystery surrounding Kieran's mother's spirit. There were many scenes that held me on the edge of my seat as we watched Alexis step into a situation she'd rather not be in, and where Kieran would struggle with his feelings and need to protect Alexis while still wanting her help.

It was an even more enjoyable read than the first, and I'm eager to see what comes next. ( )

The Story:

Picking up right where Sin & Chocolate leaves off. Lexi is officially hired by Kirean to find his mother’s plet and set her free. She and the kids have also begun training. Zorn takes a special interest in Daisy for spy training and I can’t wait to see what comes of it. Moredi makes his first transition into his wolf form and Alexis and Kieran’s relationship ramps up. Super interesting all around. The next book should be pretty interesting too. I will definitely be continuing reading.
