Not my favorite story in the collection but still interesting!!! (

Not as good as the others but till entertaining. I love getting a glimpse into how the members of the circle were during the academy days. We got to see a different side of Robert Lightwood and possible why he was the way he was in the Mortal Instruments series. It gave me a new impression of him. He really is trying to make make things right. This novella was a little slow but was still a good read. (

I think my expectations were too high for this story. I was so excited to learn about about The Circle and what Valentine was like when he was younger and I just feel...let down? Did we learn more about The Circle? Yes. Did we see them when they were younger? Yes. I guess I just...expected more. And I saw the whole game with Isabelle and Valentine from a mile away. Overall probably my least favorite so far, but I'm still glad it was in the series. (
