Unleashed was published in June 2019!!! it seemed a much older book - I would have thought the 1980s! except that the characters have cell phones .... Diamond Spur was published in 2015 according to Library Thing.
Colter is a Texas Ranger, his assistant is Clancy - but a cold case he is researching - the disappearance of her grandfather - also ties them together although Clancy keeps that secret till she no longer can.
I'm not pernickety but I felt there were a lot holes in this. And the repetition - it reminded me of the summary of last week's episode in this week's episode that you get in some TV series. The exact same dialogue was used again when the author wanted to ram a point home. It lacked subtlety and insulted the reader! ( )
