The first reason being the illustrations. The illustrations in the story were very unique. They were colorful, detailed, and had a cultural feel to them. They gave the story more creativity that matched well with the plot. That ties in to the next reason of why I enjoyed this book. The second reason I enjoyed this story was of the plot. The way the author uses Brothers Rabbits character to create the plot was intelligent. The plot held me as the reader to a lot of suspense. To see the relationships between the rabbit and other animals had me on my toes the whole story. Brother Rabbit is very sneaky and sly. He tricks multiple creatures and people to get what he wants. That brings us to the last thing I liked about this story which was the characters. They were so well portrayed by the animals in the story. The characters made me actually feel some sort of emotion when reading. I was nervous, angry, and surprised throughout the whole book. In the end, I enjoyed because of its ending. The end of the story states, " Together they recrossed the river just as daylight was fading, and Brother Rabbit reached home tired but happy with his day's adventures. As for the crocodile, he never tried to trick Brother Rabbit again." I think the main idea behind this story is to always be honest and truthful. Do not trick people to get what you want.
