The maid and the mouse and the odd shaped house is a book of rhymes. Its a story about a maid and a mouse that move into a odd shaped house. They fix up the house and then the maid hears a noise. So the maid goes and tries to find the noise. But she discovers that her house is the inside of a cat. So she gets the mouse and runs to find another house.

This story wasn't what I thought it was going to be.It turned out to be a cute book that I would use in my classroom.

You could use this book as a guessing game. Your students could guess what the noise was and where the odd shaped house was. You could also use this book to pick out the rhyming words. ( )

The tiny maid and her friend the fat mouse build onto the house. When they give it eyes, ears tail and a body the odd shaped house becomes a cat.
