Lambeth Group Thriller

Gaven Shawlens is a scientist who funds his research through money he earns working for Lambeth Group. From time to time he is sent in to do this or that using his credentials to get in under the radar. He is not a secret agent mine like James Bond but does his best. The people assigned to help him realize his limitations, can be frustrated with him but also appreciate him. He has a sister named Siobhan and a niece, Kirsty, that he cares about. Zoe Tampsin is an ex-army captain who has seen service, is ready to die for the cause, shoots first when necessary and has been Gaven’s partner in past events.

This story has Gaven called in to take over a case that has to do with insurance fraud and murder. He really doesn’t understand why he, a biochemist, is necessary but proceeds with the backing of Hazel, a new to the business person who will be on his “team”.

It has two lethal cunning killers that work in cooperation with a money hungry dude willing to do anything to make money. The killers have an agenda that is international in scope and will impact more than one nation if they are successful.

This tale has more than one thread that need to be woven together and at first it is not easy to see how an insurance fraud investigator, an ex-army captain, a biochemist, serial killers and others will find their lives entwined into a thriller as that kept me reading into the wee hours of the morning….but the author managed to do just that and created a story I could not put down.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading what happens next because I really am clueless about what a “FWITA” is and could not find it when I googled. I also want to see what Gaven and the others will get up to next.
