The best bits here were probably Dave Gibbons’s introduction and back-up story “Mogo Doesn’t Socialize”. The two-part story from Vigilante didn’t really work for me and I already have “For the Man Who Has Everything” in another collection.

A collection of DC Universe stories from the mid-1980's by Alan Moore, one of their more popular writers. Some of these stories do bear that out; I particularly liked the few stories with Superman and Batman. Moore has a talent for exploring new hidden motivations and desires in characters with long established histories, and that talent is well-showcased here. Artwork is mixed, but mostly pretty good. (
