I continue to enjoy this exciting sports manga. This super decompressed volume covers the last six kilometers of the second day of a three-day road race near Mt. Fuji. Google says a fit cyclist can do 40 km/hr, which means the 400 pages here easily cover less than 10 minutes of real time. (Well, there is one 40-page flashback, but still.) The villainous cyclist remains more a distraction than a source of drama. The protagonist, Onada, takes a backseat in this volume after his star turn last volume, but the rematch between the two team captains from Onada's squad and the reigning champions keeps the race engaging.
