Not a big fan of children's Christmas books, but a huge fan of Pete the Cat. The class loved it, even the older ones got into the groove of saying groovy. ( )

I've said it before, but I love Pete the Cat and Christmas! Pete was giving out all the groovy presents and a nice trip to the sea. All of the Pete the Cat books are great and a must have for any home! ( )

The book counts down every day until Christmas explaining what "Pete gave to me." On the twelve days of Christmas, Pete gives 12 friends a-rockin, 11 balls a-bouncing, 10 sloths a-sleeping, 9 ugly sweaters, 8 guitars strumming, 7 concert tickets, 6 skateboards rolling, 5 onion rings, 4 far-out surfboards, 3 yummy cupcakes, 2 fuzzy gloves and a road trip to the sea. I think this book is great for ages four through eight. This book would be exceptionally great for teaching children about counting, every page involves counting and has a lot of repetition. ( )
