You're going to be a daddy. Those were the last words I ever expected to hear. As one of the fabled Hamilton twins, I enjoy my life just as it is. Why wouldn't I? Check out my stats. Co-owner of Hamilton Realty, a multimillion dollar business. Doting uncle to my niece, Laurie, and my soon-to-be nephew. All-around sexy, single guy who doesn't do strings-ever. Then I went to Vegas with my sister-in-law's best friend, Sage. Choices were made. Alcoholic beverages were consumed. Virginities were taken. Hers, not mine. Then Sage announced I'd knocked her up. And oh yeah, she doesn't expect me to take an active role, because she knows I can't handle anything except my d*ck. Say what? She's so wrong, and I'm going to prove it to her. I'm going to claim my baby-and Sage. Author's note: This book is about the process of becoming a DILF. Oliver doesn't start out as a single father, but by the end of the book? Hoo boy. Author's note part deux: Claim My Baby is a standalone rom com with a romantic HEA ending and no cliffhanger.… (plus d'informations)

Man was it a mistake for me to read this.

Luckily, I knew it was a mistake going in, and I did it anyway. Because I had to know. And then I started the book and it was just as bad as I feared... and I still kept going because I had to watch the trainwreck end.

Just..wow.

Virgins are so boring. And I don't understand why so many of my bad decision reads feature a virgin. The first THIRD of the book is Sage complaining that she is a virgin. Over and over again, it is seriously all she cares about. She gets on a plane to Vegas because surely there someone can relieve her of this terrible not-burden.

She talks about how she failed to have sex before. She compares current situations to past

But I didn’t think I could use the word prick when there was a live-action one a few inches away. I couldn’t even be chill about it, because fully functional cocks were a rare bird in my life.
Sometimes being a virgin totally sucked. All right, all times.

Every time she thinks she is going to get close then doesn't. And then she complained about it

My pristinely hymenated state would continue.

And she is, so thirsty.

“You smell like cedar and musk.”
“Musk? That word is horrifying, right up there with moist.”
I frowned and finally pulled back, though I maintained my hold on him just in case the plane did make any sudden moves. “Not like…personal musk.” His eyebrow did that arching thing and I coughed into my hand. “Like the scent in men’s cologne. You know. It’s a proven fact that particular smell arouses most women.”

She even once complained about it when she had a man's cock deep into her throat. Woman, what the hell do you think you're doing? And then after that she goes "Yeah lets go to a Celine Dion concert now!" And they don't have sex and I'm fucking left baffled. This is after they dared each other to get in the jacuzzi together, even though we had already previously established she doesn't have a bathing suit.

Now, her best friend's husband's twin accompanies her on this journey. Which frankly is ridiculous but whatever. And they have been fighting with each other all their lives. And now they're kind of in this position where they realize they might kind of like each other anyway.

And then it still takes them 1/3 of the book to get it on. And then the condom breaks.

I swear this book is false advertising. I wanted baby. What I got was mostly a virgin complaining that she was a virgin, followed by a bit of sex, followed by Sage going full on irrational and Oliver just going along with it because he thinks he is in the wrong when really idk wtf Sage is going on about.

Frankly from the batshit nature of the first half of the book, the second half was just boring. I didn't run commentary on it to my friends at all after about the first half. There was just nothing to talk about. Everything went as planned. Except for the irrationality. But it also meant that there wasn't anything special about the second half.

All in all. Not really memorable.

And some more marvelous quotes:
*But you think it won’t be weird if he chokes the chicken in front of you? It’s practically the same thing, except you don’t get the O.*

“Okay? You’re not on the pill, are you?”
I shook my head. “For what? There were no invaders in my tunnel of love.”

This book had me cracking up. Some of the things that came out of Dave's mouth were hilarious. Add in sexy as he'll Oliver and this was a hit. It was nice to see Seth and Ally from the first book. This definitely was the better of the books so far and I liked the first book! 'plus grand gestures minor screw ups, steamy times, origami and Elvis.

Perfect. ( )

Oliver Hamilton was a work in progress, but boy did he clean up nice. The frustratingly arrogant pseudo playboy became a family man in the making. Claim My Baby caught my attention the minute I laid eyes on the cover. I'm a sucker for a man not afraid to be sensitive and there is a purity to a bond between a father holding his offspring. It lets you see a piece of his heart. Sage and Oliver were the best kind of romance. Saucy, surprising and sensitive. Their love kind of sneaks up on you and lays claim to your soul. Sensitive can be sexy and Taryn Quinn delivered both. ( )

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) This book took me a little while to get into it, not a lot but at the beginning I had to push. It had its funny moments. We have Sage who is a virgin and plans on getting de-virginized on a trip to Vegas. Her friends send Oliver a known playboy and someone that she is not crazy about.. What could go wrong, right? ( )
