Nothing too special, but a fun holiday book. ( ) I had mixed feelings about this book. I liked this book because of the type of writing style in which the author wrote the book. The book was simple and had easy rhyming words for beginning readers, But something I didn't like would be that the book tended to repeat itself for example on the one page the children said you have to wear green on this day and then maybe 2 pages later it said the same thing. I also liked the illustrations because they enhanced the story and were very detailed but sometimes I was confused with the pictures because they didn't correlate with the text on the pages. The main idea of this book would be to teach children about St. Patricks day and to discuss all the different activities that take place during the holiday St. Patricks Day. Summary: two children celebrate St. Patrick's day together. They dress in green and look for four-leaf clovers. They celebrate in various ways, like making an Irish stew and dancing an Irish dance. They go to a parade and encourage the reader to celebrate as well. This is a wonderful book to read to children on or around St. Patrick's Day. It also portrays the beauty of friendship as the two children enjoy celebrating and It's an easy book, but full of entertaining illustrations and rhymes. This book's short sentences are perfect for children who need practice with phonics. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
