I love this series and I love Artemis, but I hated Artemis in this book. He has some ridiculous ailment that altered his personality so it didn’t feel like an Artemis Fowl book because the Artemis I know wasn’t really in it. ( ) Artemis Fowl is seized by a mental disorder that confuses and befuddles his brilliance. Despite his best intentions, Artemis' mental confusion leads him straight into the path of a criminal mastermind, bent on destruction and revenge. Another great yarn from Eoin Colfer. You can't help loving these books if there is a fiber of adventurous kid left in you. Artemis goes bat crazy, some stupid fairy tries to kill everyone and we get preached at some more. I think my only problem with this book is that the Vogons didn't come and destroy it when they had the chance. Seriously though, I felt like Colfer lost his way with this book and just threw things at the and was hoping something would stick. I'm going to read the next Artemis book, but if it isn't any better, then we'll have to part ways. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Mythology.
Young Adult Fiction.
Artemis has committed his entire fortune to a project he believes will save the planet and its inhabitants, both human and fairy. Can it be true? Has goodness taken hold of the world's greatest teenage criminal mastermind? Captain Holly Short is unconvinced, and discovers that Artemis is suffering from Atlantis Complex, a psychosis common among guilt-ridden fairies - not humans - and most likely triggered by Artemis's dabbling with fairy magic. Symptoms include obsessive-compulsive behavior, paranoia, multiple personality disorder and, in extreme cases, embarrassing professions of love to a certain feisty LEPrecon fairy.
