An excellent study on what it means that Jesus didn't just die bit was crucified and why that was crucial to the message he brought to earth. The book is a very difficult to read being dense with jargon and wandering side tangents. ( ) A really complex book with interesting ideas. It's the kind of thing I read routinely when I was in my master's in theology program, and I found myself wishing I were in a class in which I could get guidance from someone more knowledgeable than I am. Moltmann responds to and builds on a lot of ideas that I would know nothing about were it not for my previous theology studies, and even with that background, some of this book went over my head. Because of that, I'm not sure how useful this book would be to the general reader. It's certainly more of a book to study than one to read. This is Jurgen Moltmann's best and therefore most important book. He has substantially changed the central thrust of his theology without sacrificing its most vital element, its passionate concern for alleviation of the world's suffering. -Langdon Gilkey The Crucified God rewards, as it demands, the reader's patient and open-minded attention, for its theme is nothing other than the explosive presence of the sighting and liberating Spirit of God in the midst of human life. -The Review of Books and Religion Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
