I didn't like this as much as the first AP, but I still like it enough. I think the main reason I didn't like this was because of the Civil War. For some reason I'm not interested int he Civil War, probably because they spend so long teaching it in schools. Like the last volume though, I like that this brings up the pros and cons of Lincoln. The next book Is going to be a Theodore Roosevelt (my favorite president to learn about).

I should note these books will skip of some important facts, but that's kind of a given with most non-fictional comic books. I feel like the Thomas Jefferson part for Action Philosophers was a predecessor for this series, hence why he's not really in these books as much.

Also, you don't need to read Action Presidents in order. It might help chronologically, but this doesn't have a story. ( )

This outing is slightly stronger than the first volume, mostly because you can't go wrong liberally quoting Abraham Lincoln in your book. If only that silly turkey narrator could get plucked...out of the series.

I'm looking forward to Teddy Roosevelt's turn next time. ( )

In Abraham Lincoln readers will enjoy a comical take on history told by a turkey. Readers will learn fun facts such as Lincoln pardoned the first White House turkey on Thanksgiving as well as and once snuck into the Washington in disguise. It would work great for reluctant older readers and still teach them a thing or two about our nation’s history. It is a great read like for the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Who Was series. ( )
