Half way through it did start to pick up the pace and become more involved. Can't wait to read the next one Alex. ( ) This book had me running back to the library to get all the other books by KAVA. Glad I found her, I love CSI -type and criminal-profiling books! Quiny was my GOD as a kid; I just thought that show was fascinating and I seem to gravitate towards those kinds of books as an adult. There are a few surprises in the end of the book that I never would have guessed. This would have been better if there were less of it. Kava tries to throw too many elements into this one story. First, you have the EchoEnergy cover-up, which spreads the story to DC and the Senator. She should have stopped there, but instead she’s also thrown in Sabrina’s brother’s mysterious life (which I figured out pretty much right away), a murdered senate staff member, gay porn, and a ridiculously out of place assassination plot. She could have focused on Sabrina, Jason, and EchoEnergy and this would have been a tight, concise, well-rounded suspense thriller. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Fiction.
Thriller.
HTML: TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA EchoEnergy has broken through the barriers to alternative fuel sources. The impact on world markets could be staggering. But amid the euphoria, Sabrina Galloway, one of EE's top scientists, makes an alarming discovery. Sabotage of the process has unleashed an eco-disaster, and toxic waste is poisoning Florida waters and the Gulf of Mexico. WASHINGTON, D.C. Youthful congressional chief of staff Jason Brill prepares his boss for the upcoming International Energy Summit. But he's beginning to realize the senator's support of EchoEnergy and its CEO may involve more private than public interests. Sabrina and Jason have never met. But in a world that values corporate greed over human life, they have attracted the notice of silent but powerful enemies. And these relentless shadow players leave tracks all the way from the Middle East to Pennsylvania Avenue. .Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
