One thing I've learned since I've been more active on GoodReads or even Librarything.com is that my book taste is sometimes vastly different than the popular opinion, and I am okay with that. I started this today and finished it today. It's been such a long time since I've been able to finish a book in one day. I don't know if it's because I listened to the audiobook, but I loved this book. The first book I read by Sally Thorne was Hating Game, and I immediately listed as my favorite this year. I enjoyed 99 percent mine just as much. It gave me the cozy vibes and the heart melting vibes I love. I was literally all in this story. I like what I like. Sorry for anyone who didn't enjoy it, but I did. I loved the characters, i love the sibling drama, and of course, the slow burn love that had been simmering for years. I could relate. Lol.❤️❤️❤️ I listened to the audiobook that I borrowed from the library, love it so much I ordered the physical copy The smut, the plot, the characters! I loved it all. I loved it all so much!! The fluff. Darcy is the sharp, witty, slightly flawed character who’s so realistic, you can’t help but fall in love with her. Tom. Tom is gruffy, such a sweet and gentle (mostly) soul, also flawed character you love to experience. I mention their flaws because sometimes romance books love to paint a picture of polar opposites. Where one character is deeply flawed and the other is on the opposite end of the spectrum, a saint. But throughout the book you have moments where you love them, hate them, get angry at them and truly root for them, and that’s what makes this a 5 star read Who does that 1% belong to? Thank the lord for SNOW! I am so behind on all my other obligations today I have even ignored friends. Sorry but thank you Sally Thorne. If you get a chance to listen to this do it was even better. Anyone who knows me knows that I go through phases where I just need romance this for me was, I need a break for mysteries because that’s all I’ve been reading. This checks all the boxes for me it was cute it was quick and it was really unexpected. Tom Valeska the Hero was such a joy to read hi Darcy forget it Oh my God I thought she was a complete powerful pixie. That is not exactly a forbidden romance, but putting that aside for a moment, this is a sweet, heart-warming and sexy romance that is perfect for fans of Christina Lauren. I have not picked up the Hating Game (shame me if you will but it’s on my list I promise) This was cute and corky and every % that she fell in love with Tom I fell in love with Tom. I do not want to ruin this book for anyone but if you don’t love the back and forth banter between these two then you read this book all wrong. Go try it again. I promise you won’t regret it. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: Readers and critics alike raved over USA Today bestselling author Sally Thorne's smash hit debut novel, The Hating Game??which sold in over 20 countries. Now she's back with an unforgettable romantic comedy about a twin sister and brother struggling over an inheritance??and the sexy best friend who comes between them. Crush: a strong and often short-lived infatuation, particularly for someone beyond your reach... ... If Darcy Barrett hadn't met her dream man when she was eight years old, the rest of the male population wouldn't be such a let-down. No one measures up to Tom Valeska, aka the best man on Earth, not in looks, brain or heart. Even worse is the knowledge that her twin brother Jamie saw him first, and claimed him forever as his best friend. Tom's off limits and loyal to her brother, 99%. One percent of Tom has had to be enough for Darcy, and her adoration has been sustained by his shy kindness. And if she's honest, his tight t-shirts. Now Darcy's got three months left to get her life together, before her twin insists on selling the tumble-down cottage they inherited from their grandmother. By night, she's working in a seedy bar, shooting down lame pickups from bikers. By day, she's sewing underwear for her best friend and wasting her award-winning photography skills on website shots of pens and novelty mugs. She's enjoying living the messy life, and a glass of wine or ten... until that one night, when she finds a six-foot-six perfect package on her porch. Tom's here, he's bearing power tools??and he's single for the first time in a decade. As a house flipper extraordinaire, Tom has been dispatched by Jamie to give the cottage a drastic facelift that will result in a ton of cash. Darcy doesn't appreciate Tom's unsentimental approach to knocking down walls, and he really, really doesn't approve of her current burnout boyfriend. They can't be in the same room together without sparks flying- and it's not the faulty wiring. One bedroom wall separates them at night, and even that's looking flimsy. Will Tom ever see Darcy as anything other than a little-sister obstacle to get around? And can she stand up to her most formidable opponent??her twin? This time around, she's determined to make Tom Valeska 99 percent hers, and he's never managed to say no to her Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
