This was a great collection of writers and ideas on different ways of political activism that are actually achievable, and especially to young people. While obviously being very US-centric and targeted towards teens, I think there's something to gain for everyone who is looking to do something. I listened to the audiobook and I'd love to pick up a hard copy to have a look at the illustrations & cartoons! ( )
This is a moving collection of work that varies from interviews to music to personal essays, all centered on the theme of resistance. The authors address their words to young people, but older adults can also appreciate the sentiments expressed in these pages. Resistance can take many forms, and the overall message is to find the right way for you to express yourself. This book is both inspiring and heartbreaking and helps us all to consider our own role in society. ( )
