I continued to enjoy the third book in this unusual series. More exploration, plot developments and character moments.
One thing I think would have been better though was to have interspersed the Senlin chapters with the Edith chapters. Knowing the climax of the Senlin portion of the story made the Edith chapters a bit dull at times. ( )

So stressful (in a good way😉). I had to stop listening for a while, and take a break. Has ALL the feels. The tower is a weird and not so wonderful place. I also thought this was the last book in the series, nope. *sigh*. I want (need) to know how this hot mess all ends 😛
PS. Listening to this is like watching a movie in your head, the writing is excellent, very descriptive without slowing down the story. ( )

4.5/5 stars but this one I'll round up. Excellent addition filled with action, adventure, suspense, hilarious moments, and emotions throughout. I can't wait for the finale of the Books of Babel come November. ( )

Such an exciting book! Each of these Babel books is better than the one before. Can't wait for #4! ( )

As with the previous entries in the series, the prose is brilliant, as is the world ... even though we're just in Pelphia for the book. The characters are still great, but more progress or conflict would have been nice. And i cant help but feel that the cliffhanger in the second arc didn't really pay off, mostly because it was too tidy in the end. Overall, this is more of a 3.5 for me, but it's still great and recommended. ( )
