I though that the art in this was beautiful and I can’t imagine how much time it would have taken to illustrate.

I personally really liked this book. It is about a younger child going to visit his grandfather. His grandfather is a immigrant that does not speak English, so it is hard for them to communicate. Then they find a better way to communicate through drawing together, and they become a lot closer than they have in a long time. I think that this book could be used to teacher younger children that there are ways to communicate with others, that don't involve speaking.

Very cute, minimal words- while grandfather and the boy don't share a common language, they bond over art and the ability to create, an EXCELLENT theme for a picture book! ( )
