I found this little book in a Little Free Library. I'm quite picky with the books I choose to take home, because I know I have very little free time to read these days. However, the title, the nature of the book and the short chapters all seemed like a perfect fit for my life. I started reading a story here and there in my pockets of free time and was so comforted by the miraculous events which people shared within the pages. Some of the stories seemed downright impossible, they were so shockingly coincidental. But as a firm believer in miracles, I found the words to carry much significance and comfort. Halfway through the book, I needed to gift the book to someone who needed it more than I did at the moment. I would've gladly finished the book, but circumstances pressed me to pass it along. I would heartily recommend Small Miracles to anyone ( )

What a lovely read! Coincidences or signs you are where you were somehow meant to be, doing things you were somehow meant to do, with people to whom you are somehow connected. Small actions can ripple out, creating miracles in your life and the lives of others. What a heart warming, smile-inducing series of tales this is; highly recommend! ( )

1 stars.. or 2- Oh I found this book in a library free giveaway pile. I liked the title and like to hear people's stories of the supernatural in their lives, but this was much like a Chicken Soup for the Soul book. Some of the anecdotes were unbelievable, not in that they were amazing but in that I doubted their truth. Others were cutesy and some read like a psychotherapist's analysis.. Each anecdote ended w/a little moral lesson synopsis of sorts, and these were mostly syrupy and completely unnecessary; just let the stories speak for themselves. This was not a children's book where readers need a little ending morality lesson.... w/canned phrases like 'God helps those who helps themselves'..
The stories were compiled by Jewish authors, so I was not expecting a Christian slant to these, nevertheless, I was disappointed. Corny, psychobabble type of stuff. Blech. Not sure why this book has gotten so many stars here on GR. I just might throw it back in the library giveaway pile.

This is the third or fourth time I've read this book. It is a great read whenever you are feeling a little down. Full of feel-good stories that demonstrate unusually instances of synchronicity (a word coined by Jung), you can't help but feel good after you read each one (each is a few pages). I always feel like there is an order to this wonderful Universe, even if we don't understand it, and that makes me hopeful. ( )
