I think as a younger reader if i had read this a middle grade reader. I would have devored this seriesd. The whole concepct of being able to travel into books was kinda of a cool concept. This book also had some twists and turns that i did not expect. It was cute read, I read it super fast but the characters did not have much debpth to them!! I might check out the sequel! There are strong Harry Potter overtones to this book, where Tilly, an orphan, one day realises she has magical powers and can enter a world hidden from the majority of people. In this case the world is the ability to 'bookwander', i.e. physically enter into the stories of books and meet the characters and explore the world. This leads to some enjoyable fun with classics, as we see Tilly explore Anne of Green Gables, Alice in Wonderland and Treasure Island. But are there more dangerous goings on in the land of bookwandering? Can Tilly find her missing parents? Can she understand the secrets of her own powers? An enjoyable read for late primary / early secondary school. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
